I found Kalik in Sarasota Florida at a grocery store. I am not sure if it was a one time thing or they are going to carry it. I also found a bar in Sarasota that served it. I saw the website, and they said that it is in New York now. |

Unfortunately Kalik is only available in New York and southern Florida. I have talked with the Bahamian distributor and still can't get a cold Kalik in Michigan. I'm working on it though and I always bring home a case when I come back from vacation. Cheers Mon!!!! |

Drank Kalik in Bahamas in Sprign '03 and was happy to see internet site and MD being a test market. It's great, it's Corona without the after taste! With proper marketing / promotion they could steal a chunk away from the island Mexico brand. Toast! |

My guess would be that you would have to order it over the internet (which is expensive). My husband also likes the beer. I guess we have it pretty good since my mother was born in the Bahamas and we still have relatives there. |

You named your kid Kalik? What is up with that? Maybe you are on to something there. How about your other kids could be called Mississippi Mud, or Fat Tire or even Winter Anniversary 1994-1995. What do you think? |

Like everyone else. I am in total withdrawal from Kalik. There seems to be no place to buy it. I first met Kalik on Green Turtle Cay in Abaco Bahamas. Gy, Maria and I were in a drunken stupor for four days. Something about a beach and a party. I'll make a deal. I bet I could fit a lot of Kalik in my SUV. We could all meet somewhere (Myrtle Beach) for a big party |

Just got back from honeymoon in bahamas and discovered the magic of kalik - kalik gold is 7.0% and regular kalik is 5.0%. Kalik light cans gave no indication of alcohol content but was still pretty tasty for a light, tropical brew. I need to find out how to get a couple cases up to Vermont and introduce everyone else to this beer! |

For all of you having withdrawls from not being able to Kalik at will, I understand your pain--I am seeking Kalik state side I live in Houston, Texas and it ain't look that on this end... The bahamas spoilled be and when I recently visited Miami for my sons graduation we only found 5 six packs and that was at different stores. We bought 3 six packs home with us on the plane...... BUT WE NEED MORE....
If it evers as close as Louisiana it will be worth the drive. |

I recently found Kalik at the Neptune beach publix in Jacksonville, FL on Atlantic Blvd--which is the only place I have found it in the US. It's in a bit different bottle than you would find in the Bahamas, but it's still great. Hope that helps---It may be worth the trip from Tallahassee |

Personally i think kalik is the greatest beer in the world - i love it. however i do believe that is a truely "bahamian thing" and it would be a great shame to see it exported out of the bahamas. it's always a treat to have a national beer which you can't get anywhere else. |

Can I order some on-line for shipment? Wishing to get some Kalik here in KY. NY and FL are the only 2 spots. The beer in the Bahamas is much smoother due to higher alcohol content than the Kalik in the U.S. Imported in the U.S. by Star Brand Imports, White Plains, NY. |

Hi everyone, let me inform you about the Kalik in the US. Currently, we export it only to Florida. It should be available throughout the state. Sometimes it is also sold in Atlanta, Georgia.
In the past, Kalik was exported to NY and Canada. Hopefully, Kalik will be available in more states in the near future, because we are working on that as we speak. It is imported by Heineken company called Star Brand Imports.
There are private website where you can get your Kalik shipped to any state, but prices go up to $90 per case incl S&H. If you really love it, buy it in Florida.
FYI, Kalik Export is exactly the same as Kalik Domestic beer, sold in the Bahamas. Now differences. Regards, C. |

Worldmarket stores have a nice selection of beer/wine. www.worldmarket.com
I mean they have Hoegaarden (the greatest beer ever created) and they carry Kalik. They have to have separate distributors for beer then the locals. Because the 6 or 7 other places that have nice beer selections do not carry these 2 beers. |

KALIK, KALIK!!! That is my expanded vocabulary when I'm in Nassau, Bahamas. I love walking down Bay St. from Liquor store to Liquor Store and saying "two Kaliks please. Only in Nassau can you walk on the street and drink beer (Kalik) and a police man won't even give you a second look. My wife and I just got back and will be there again in June for Goombay Summer. Oh, Kalik is sold in Fl. and Md. from what I know.
While in Nassau the two must-haves are; a Scooter and Kaliks. |

I just wanted to give everyone a quick update and a few tidbits on the production of the website. April 30th, 2007 we will be online and accepting orders. I'm just sorting out shipping & handling fees with our local FEDEX & UPS to offer all of you the best price. Also to protect both parties(purchaser, seller) the preferred method of payment will be via US money order. Like I said this is preferred...but credit cards will be accepted. Initially we'll be offering Kalik.....but by August we hope to offer a mix of authentic Bahamian souvenirs. As a part of our push to provide you with this service...........we have decided to ship 1(ONE) free sample of the beverage to the first 50 customers for the month of May. You can also email me your shipping address in advance of this. Please let us kn ow your input. Regards. |

Hey, a place for Kalik lovers. Glad I discovered it.
I wrote to Starbrands in New York to see where they deliver to. In Florida, the distributor for Kalik is National Distributing Company, out of Deerfield Beach. The Phone number is 954-425-7779; ask for Ida.
I saw Kalik stocked big time at the local Publix in South Miami Beach, and I have heard it is in lots of Publix in Florida. Doubt if Gold is stocked because of the archaic liquor laws of beer over a certain percent alcohol, etc. The same applies to another great beer, Presidente of The Dominican Republic.

just got back from the orlando area and found regular kalik (not gold) at a market owned by winn dixie (no winn dixie sign in sight on the highway though). located at 7840 w. irlo bronson (same as hwy. 192) about 3 miles west of disney world. any new news on where to find kalik gold? i first tried regular in freeport, bahamas in April, 2000 and then again in April, 2007 in St. Thomas at a marketplace there. just bought two 6-packs in kissimmee... |

Well, just as I discribed in my 01/20/2007 post; we went to Nassau for not Goombay but Junkanoo. Goombay is no longer. And yes we drank KALIK pretty much as soon as we got to the hotel. Junkanoo at the Fish Fry is wild! Great food, Great beer, and great people. I think KALIK is sold in Annapolis, MD. As well as Baltimore, and Florida. But while in Nassau drink only the KALIK Gold. It's stronger. |
