Appearance: Golden, clear. Big Head that disappates rapidly.
Additional Info:
Very expensive - about twice as much as a regular belgian beer of the same size. The attached pamphlet goes a bit iverboard in describing the proper serving temperature - it gives you a 3 part process for achieving the proper temperature.
Tasting Impressions:
Very strong ginger aroma. Very very spicy - almost hot! Smooth overall, with good Belgian Airiness. To explain this rather expensive beer, think Duvel with some additional spiciness. A little light, a little heavy.

1/21/2004 2:30:25 PM  gayle keller  calistoga, california  I would rate this beer very highly, but I'm coming at it from a wine lover's perspective. It has a fairly fruity and vinous flavor, with a lovely lightness on the palate given its wonderful big flavors. I don't know quite how to describe it, but the fact that the beer spends a year in Champagne and is treated as such makes it unique and certainly explains the very delicate and effervescent mouth-feel. Does anyone know who distributes this beer in northern California? Please e-mail me!
