11/24/2002 7:07:56 PM  Steve C  Austin  I'm new to Texas, and everyone down here loves this beer. This should not be so - the beer sucks. I think they like it because its Texas beer, and anything thats from Texas is better. Poor dumb bastards. I guess they are kind of like the French.
12/6/2002 9:14:49 AM  menger  houston texas  Actually, I think its not half bad. People adore it because its better than their usual cheap swill, bud lite. For a beer in its price range, I think its pretty good. If I want to spend more money, I'll go get some better stuff.
2/17/2003 10:35:11 AM  David  Houston, Texas  Shiner actually makes several types of beers from blond to a Christmas blend for the holidays. I was raised on this stuff so my taste is subjective and biased, but all things considered Shiner is a very good beer. I would classify it is a "light" dark beer meaning it does not stick to your ribs like some darks out there. By the way, anything that is from Texas IS better.
